My Kitchen

This is my beautiful kitchen where all the cooking and baking magic happens! I started the best chapter of my life in 2018 and I could not wait to move into my very own, new-construction home! I was so excited I literally watched the progress from the day they broke ground all the way through settlement (and documented it, too!). I picked out the cabinets, flooring, appliances, fixtures, paint, furniture and decor. It was empowering; I was free, independent, strong and the happiest I've ever been in my life!

 

It took some time for me to get settled into my new home and then, a global pandemic happened. As I'm sure many can relate, it was both a blessing and a curse. I have spent a lot of time in my new home since March of 2020; binge-watching Netflix, painting furniture, redecorating, gardening, shopping online, working, recovering from weight loss surgery and... making countless meals and desserts for my family. I'm so thankful for all the time I've been able to spend with them since the pandemic hit. The kitchen truly is the heart of the home, but my heart and home is wherever my family is. ❤️
