Buttery Oatmeal Maple Craisin Cookies

My friend Michelle made these Buttery Oatmeal Maple Craisin Cookies many years ago and I absolutely loved them! They’re crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside, so buttery they melt in your mouth and I love the hint of maple flavor with the oatmeal and the rum-soaked craisins! OMG yum!

BUTTERY OATMEAL MAPLE CRAISIN COOKIES

2 sticks of butter

2 tablespoons maple syrup

2 tablespoons of water

1 cup sugar

1 cup flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

2-1/2 cups quick cooking oats

1 cup raisins (or Craisins) soaked in 2 tablespoons of orange juice or rum

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a saucepan combine butter, maple syrup and water.

  3. Cook slowly until butter melts; remove from heat.

  4. Mix dry ingredients together.

  5. Add melted butter mixture to dry ingredients. Add raisins.

  6. Drop by teaspoon onto an ungreased baking sheet (or you can use parchment paper).

Bake for approximately 10 minutes.
