This is my friend Linda Talarico's recipe. I made it for the first time today for Thanksgiving tomorrow. It looks and smells amazing. I cannot wait to taste it tomorrow but I wanted to post the recipe since many of you are asking for it.
CRANBERRY CASSEROLE
Ingredients:
2-3 cups of fresh cranberries (1 bag)
3 cups of chopped unpeeled Granny Smith apples
¾ cup of sugar
Mix together. Grease deep dish casserole dish.
Topping:
½ cup quaker oats
½ cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Directions:
Grease a deep-dish casserole dish.
Mix topping and put on top of cranberry & apple mixture.
Melt one stick of butter and pour over topping.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes.
Turn oven down to 300 degrees F and bake 15 minutes longer.
