Cranberry Casserole

This is my friend Linda Talarico's recipe. I made it for the first time today for Thanksgiving tomorrow. It looks and smells amazing. I cannot wait to taste it tomorrow but I wanted to post the recipe since many of you are asking for it.



CRANBERRY CASSEROLE


Ingredients:

  • 2-3 cups of fresh cranberries (1 bag)

  • 3 cups of chopped unpeeled Granny Smith apples

  • ¾ cup of sugar


Mix together. Grease deep dish casserole dish.


Topping:

  • ½ cup quaker oats

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup flour

  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts


Directions:

  1. Grease a deep-dish casserole dish.

  2. Mix topping and put on top of cranberry & apple mixture.

  3. Melt one stick of butter and pour over topping.

  4. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes.

  5. Turn oven down to 300 degrees F and bake 15 minutes longer.
