Mom's Chocolate Cake

I grew up on this delicious and moist chocolate cake made from scratch!


MOM'S CHOCOLATE CAKE

2 cups flour

2 cups sugar

¾ cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup milk

1 cup vegetable oil

2 eggs


Directions:

  1. Beat above ingredients for 1-2 minutes.

  2. Slowly mix in an 8 oz. cup (brewed) coffee (regular or decaf, either is fine).

  3. Mix for 1-2 minutes on high (batter is very watery, it is supposed to be that way).

  4. Spray bundt pan very well with Baking Pam and pour batter in and bake for 35-45 minutes (depending on your oven) on 350 degrees F.

  5. Let cake cool completely and then turn over onto a flat cake plate.

  6. Let cool completely and sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar.
