Snickerdoodles

Simple but delicious cookies rolled in cinnamon and sugar and extra-yummy when warm!


SNICKERDOODLES

  • 3 cups sugar

  • 1 cup butter, softened (Land 'O Lakes)

  • 1 cup shortening (butter flavor Crisco)

  • 4 eggs

  • 5 1/2 cups all-purpose flour *

  • 4 teaspoons cream of tarter

  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Roll dough in:

1/2 cup sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon


Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar, margarine, shortening and eggs. Stir in flour, cream of tarter, baking soda and salt. Shape into 1-1/4 inch balls.

  2. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and the cinnamon, roll balls in mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

  3. Bake 8-10 minutes or until set; cool. About 4 dozen cookies.

I’m confused its says mix margarine but its butter and crisco what are we mixing
