Mom's Pasta Fagiolo

Another fabulous recipe by mama Linda! Comfort food at it's finest! Now you know where I got my love of cooking!


PASTA FAGIOLO

  • 3 cans of Progresso Cannellini Beans

  • 1 large jar of Barilla Marinara Sauce

  • 1 lb. box of Ditalini (only use ½ box)

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • 1-2 Cloves Garlic

  • Parsley

  • Basil

  • Salt & pepper

  • Optional: Add a container of chopped celery and chopped onion

  • Locatelli Cheese

Directions:

  1. In Dutch oven pot, sauce garlic in extra virgin olive oil (cover bottom of pot).

  2. Add in 3 cans of beans with juice (do not drain!). Simmer 15 minutes.

  3. Add marinara, stir and simmer for approximately 15 minutes.

  4. Cook Ditalini in a separate pot according to directions on box, drain, and add pasta to Dutch oven pot.

  5. Stir and let simmer for another 15 minutes and serve!
